"No, Park we're not gaming tonight because it's Roosevelt's birthday. Stop calling him that, he is not. He's a hell of a lot smarter than you for starters. And I'm not having this conversation with you, either come to mine and celebrate my best friend's birthday or don't. It's up to you," Lincoln began, groaning as he put the phone down on Park. He could never understand why his friends couldn't all get along together. Park was a... okay, bad example. Lee was awesome but even she and Roosevelt bickered. And his best bro was going to be thirty tomorrow and it was up to Lincoln to throw him the best party ever.

.....
He really sucked at throwing parties. He had beer, food, music, people were supposed to be coming but he just hated that whole pre-party waiting thing. He wasn't meant to be a social butterfly, he was quite happy being an introspective nerd who had a set of amazing outgoing friends (and girlfriend.) He was quite happy being the wallflower. But he had to suck it up tonight for Roosevelt.
Hearing the bell, he ran to the door and opened it wide before smiling in relief.
"Oh thank god you're here," Lincoln began throwing his arms around the first guest.
OOC: ROOSEVELT IS THIRTY TOMORROW AND LINCOLN IS THROWING HIS BEST BRO FOREVER A PARTY WHICH EVERYONE IS INVITED TO. AND REMEMBER HIS PLACE IS LIKE TWO BEDROOM FLAT AND ALL HOMEMADE AMAZING FURNITURE AND GAMES AND GEEKY THINGS THIS IS NOT A CABOT SHINDIG.

Scrunching up her nose at him, she lured him as much as she could into the guest room before forcing the stupid signed shirt into his hand. Which was the present he knew about. "Now, you can shut up about me not having met Brady and getting you a shirt."
The other present, the book shaped present carefully wrapped she kept in her hand. That was far more revealing than a football shirt.

Roosevelt took the shirt from her and smiled. It was amazing that she got this for him. Even with everything that had gone on with Brady it didn't diminish how awesome the gift was.
"And I never made a deal about not getting a shirt in the first place. You are the dramatic one. But I see another present there."

Not that I objected at all," Keira replied, poking Roosevelt in the chest as she rolled her eyes at him. Smiling a little, she turned the other present in her hand and held it out for him. "It's nothing much, I just thought you'd like it."
An old, beautiful copy of Romeo and Juliet. She'd started getting it when she thought- well, it didn't matter what she thought now. He had a girlfriend. And she had a Kenneth Branagh signed book. What exactly was she going to do with that except give it to him.

"Keira, this is amazing!"

Scrunching her nose up as she looked at him, she watched the way his expression changed and how he smiled like that. Feeling her throat tighten, she cleared it before smiling back at him. "Yeah, well... I wanted you to have something nice. You like it then?"

Date: 2015-06-26 02:21 am (UTC)She looked so cute when she scrunched her nose up like that. It had always been one of his favorite expressions of her and it had annoyed her that he liked it so much. He never did figure out what.
"I love it, it's amazing. Don't tell anyone else but it's going to be really hard for this present to be topped."

Keira replied, she reached up to touch her nose when she was scrunching it up like that at him again. Looking up at him thoughtfully, she reached out to touch his cheek gently before taking a step closer. Leaning up onto tiptoes, she brushed a chaste kiss against his cheek. "Happy birthday Teddy."
