"No, Park we're not gaming tonight because it's Roosevelt's birthday. Stop calling him that, he is not. He's a hell of a lot smarter than you for starters. And I'm not having this conversation with you, either come to mine and celebrate my best friend's birthday or don't. It's up to you," Lincoln began, groaning as he put the phone down on Park. He could never understand why his friends couldn't all get along together. Park was a... okay, bad example. Lee was awesome but even she and Roosevelt bickered. And his best bro was going to be thirty tomorrow and it was up to Lincoln to throw him the best party ever.
...
....
.....
He really sucked at throwing parties. He had beer, food, music, people were supposed to be coming but he just hated that whole pre-party waiting thing. He wasn't meant to be a social butterfly, he was quite happy being an introspective nerd who had a set of amazing outgoing friends (and girlfriend.) He was quite happy being the wallflower. But he had to suck it up tonight for Roosevelt.
Hearing the bell, he ran to the door and opened it wide before smiling in relief.
"Oh thank god you're here," Lincoln began throwing his arms around the first guest.
OOC: ROOSEVELT IS THIRTY TOMORROW AND LINCOLN IS THROWING HIS BEST BRO FOREVER A PARTY WHICH EVERYONE IS INVITED TO. AND REMEMBER HIS PLACE IS LIKE TWO BEDROOM FLAT AND ALL HOMEMADE AMAZING FURNITURE AND GAMES AND GEEKY THINGS THIS IS NOT A CABOT SHINDIG.

She looked around the room and smiled, thinking it was very much Lincoln and so very opposite from Roosevelt. "I'm still trying to figure out how you two have stayed friends so long. You're so very opposite of each other."

Date: 2015-05-30 04:57 pm (UTC)"We both love football, well dad loved it more than I did but it was something we always did together. Roosevelt, me, his dad, and mine. And I don't know a little difference of opinion is good," Lincoln murmured, lifting his shoulders in a shrug with a small smile. Maybe it was because they were so different that was what kept them both together. Besides there was nothing Lincoln loved more than sitting in and watching a game with Roosevelt or going for a run, now that he was fit, with his friend. "It's more like we're brothers really."

Date: 2015-05-30 05:11 pm (UTC)Samantha made a mental note to tell Roosevelt that he was free to take whomever he wanted for his birthday present and that it didn't necessarily have to be her. She loved football as much as the next person, but some things you almost had to experience with a friend. Besides, it wasn't as if there weren't more games to go to.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the two of you interact. I've never really seen it, I've just seen you both talking about the other. Now, I brought wine as well. Where would you like me to put it?"

Date: 2015-05-30 05:18 pm (UTC)Lee kissed him again because she was never going to get sick of being able to do that. "You're always starving for something." She teased, handing him the pack and heading into the apartment to put the chips with the rest of the food. "He's going to have a good time, don't worry so much. It's just going to be like a roleplay session without the roleplay. And with slightly more people."

Date: 2015-05-30 06:00 pm (UTC)Following her down the hall into his apartment, he pulled out a twizzler before sucking on the end of one. "You're the best, have I told you that recently?"

Date: 2015-05-30 06:54 pm (UTC)"Not in the last fifteen minutes. I was getting worried!" Lee said, leaning over the table and laying out more food. "But I'll forgive you." She said as she turned back and stopped. He was doing it on purpose, she was sure of it, sucking on the sweet like he wasn't ruining her life. "Lincoln...How long do we have before people get here?"

Date: 2015-05-30 07:34 pm (UTC)"Because you're a life-ruiner." Lee said, tugging the twizzler out of his mouth and leaning up to kiss him hard. Reaching up, she looped her arms around his neck and pressed her body close to his. Maybe getting worked up just before people were about to arrive wasn't the best idea in the world but she couldn't help herself.

Date: 2015-05-30 09:14 pm (UTC)"I've got white and red," Samantha told him as she moved in towards the kitchen. "I'll open the red so it has a chance to breathe a little. Of course, I'll let the first glass of it breathe in my glass, but I have to taste it first, right? Make sure it's not vinegar?"
She did just that and turned back to him with glass in hand. "Can I trust you to not tell him? Or will it be more fun for you to tease him that you know and he doesn't?"

Date: 2015-05-30 09:16 pm (UTC)"That's not exactly what I meant. I meant dip," Lincoln murmured, the top of his ears blushing a pink colour as he tried not to think of the innuendo. He smiled at the pat of his hand and led Audrey into the kitchen area. "It's not nice to tease the host or so I've heard."
Lincoln moved his limited edition Death statue up out of harms way so he could set up the hummus.

Date: 2015-05-31 03:43 pm (UTC)"All right then," Samantha replied with another sip from her glass. She hoped to God she nailed this and, really, checking Lincoln's reaction would probably be the best indicator of that. Not to mention she still had time to change it, or get something else, if she missed the mark.
"I got him two VIP experience tickets to the Patriots home opener this season."
She took another drink of her wine to hide that she was metaphorically holding her breath.

Date: 2015-05-31 04:53 pm (UTC)"You were saying?" Lee grinned as he carried her and wrapped her legs around him as he settled her on the counter, shuffling forward so she was pressed close and could get her hands on all of him. She groaned and deepened the kiss, pulling back to nip at his lip before diving back in for more, sneaking her hands under his shirt to drag her nails up his sides.

Date: 2015-05-31 05:12 pm (UTC)Lincoln almost choked on his own drink as he lifted the beer to his lips and took a mouthful just as she said that. Two tickets to the opening game was... ridiculously perfect and Lincoln was kind of hoping that his friend wasn't going to get all romantic and take Sam. Maybe they could get a third ticket.
"Forget Roosevelt, marry me. We'll make it work with Lee, wait don't tell her I said that because I'm joking. Just... wow, seriously?" Lincoln asked in vague disbelief before letting out a long breath. "I made him something for his place, that is just... you're the worst, I can't out do that."
