"I'm coming," Lincoln called out, half swearing as he woke up at the sound of knocking-pounding- at the door. Wiping the drool from his mouth, he reached out to hit his alarm clock, and groaned when he saw the time. He'd slept through all his alarms which meant that was the guys, which meant he hadn't set anything up. He was the worst player in the world. He was the worst friend in the world.

Struggling to get his jeans on, he ran down the hall and opened the door.

"Hey, sorry slept through alarm. I know, I know. Guys, DM set up the board. Park, grab the snacks they are in the kitchen. Bowls where they usually are. Hey," Lincoln smiled at everyone, letting them all through even as the other guys wolf-whistled at his lack of shirt and bitched about having to set up. Smiling, he pulled his shirt on slowly before shutting the door. Tonight was going to be a good night. Once they got going. "I have beer."

Lincoln offered a beer to the nearest person, tugging his shirt down and covering up.

OOC: Open to anyone who is Lincoln's friend, likely to be involved in SC D&D team, Firefighters who might be invited to said D&D games night, and of course Roosevelt.

"Yeah. I've seen that face before. When kids fall asleep in class." She teased. Lee watched him smile at his phone and wondered who he was texting, considering the majority of his friends were in this room right now, but got distracted from that train of thought by the fight that broke out in the game. Straightening up a little, she rolled for her damage dealing and kicked the crap out of two would-be bandits.

She nodded along with his thoughts. "I think we'll be lucky to get gold out of this quest." She leaned in to whisper in his ear. "I think the GM was annoyed with us running through his scenario so quick and killing off his mobs too easily." Lee held out a fist for him to bump.

"Don't kid yourself. I'm a school network admin. Everything about my job would put a kid to sleep." She smiled at the lazy little kiss on her shoulder. He was doubly adorable when he was exhausted because he was absently touchy-feely. He forgot about any boundaries. Lee thought she became a bit of a living teddy bear, not that she minded one little bit. She did the same to him on the long nights after one of her club activities when his place was closer and he let her crash in his guest room.

His hand was making idle circles on her side and she found herself swaying into the motion. "And beer." She said, toasting him with her bottle. "Taverns are really important resource gathering places." Across the table the thief started arguing with the cleric and the GM sighed tiredly. Lee grinned at Lincoln. "Do you think we're going to have to separate them?"

"They're fifteen and they're boys. They're in love with anything with boob shaped lumps on their chests. Small mountain ranges in geography class turn them on." She said, watching him roll and beat his little group of bandits. Laughing she nodded. "Pizza break."

Standing and squeezing his shoulder as she passed, she grabbed her wallet from the overnight bag she'd dumped at door and came back, handing him a twenty. "I owe you for last time." She said as she bumped him with her hip getting into her seat. How did they end up practically on top of eachother?

"Don't sound like Roosevelt." Lee said, shuddering dramatically. "Roosevelt sounding like himself is more than enough."

The break in play seemed to be just what they needed. Lounging back in Lincolns arms, she grinned at his dorky joke, rapidly followed by a fierce blush that she was glad he couldn't see at the 'all night' comment. The beer was to blame for that. It always raised her temperature. She's not sure what she was going to blame for the vivid images now flitting randomly through her head, but she'd think of something. He did sound tired though and she craned to look up and back at him. "Night shift all week kicked your ass, huh? I think the guys want to tear through this though. I bet they're gone by like ten." Lee said, taking the hand that was draped over her shoulders and squeezing it.

Pressing her cold beer bottle against her cheek to cool the flush, Lee laughed. "You're so kind. Besides, I think yours are technically bigger than mine anyway." She teased, twisting to poke him in the pec.

Lee turned in his arms and looked at him concerned as he talked about his call outs. "You're okay though? No injuries?" She said, sitting up a little to look him over in case she'd missed something. He didn't generally get hurt at work, but there was a first time for everything and Lee took his health and well-being kinda personally.

For a big guy, Lincoln moved deceptively quickly and Lee suddenly found herself perched on his lap, blinking down at him while he talked earnestly about how she didn't have to worry. She nodded, freeing one of her hands to place it on his shoulder and keep herself upright.

"Okay." She said, huffing. "Fine. I won't worry." She kept up the silence for about ten seconds before she shook her head. "Nope, that's a lie. I'm totally still going to worry. But I promise to not be weird about it." She paused again and in the brief second the doorbell rang and the others crowded to get at the boxes of delicious smelling pizza. "Although if you ever get hurt I'm absolutely going to lose my mind and kill all humans." She added in a rush. "Oh hey! Gimme! Over here!" she called, taking one of the boxes and setting it on her knees. If he wanted her to move, he could do it easily so she just grinned at him and gave him an innocent face. "Pizza?"

Lee opened the box and breathed in the smell of the fresh, hot pie, laden with meat and cheese. "The humans deserve it for letting you get hurt by being dumb and not watching their fire safety." She said, relinquishing her grip on his shoulder and shuffling in his lap to get comfy while she pulled a slice free. "And you're not allowed to get hit by a car or eaten by a shark either." She was about to take a bite when Lincolns chin hit her shoulder and his lips brushed her ear, warm breath ghosting over her shoulder and neck. The hair on her neck stood up and a slow shiver rolled through her, making her breath catch in her throat for a second. She turned to look at him, finding his pouty face inches from her own. "Jesus, Lincoln..." She laughed and offered the slice to him. "Just take it if it'll take that hangdog look off your face."

"God, you do so have a hangdog look. I'm pretty sure there's not a person on the planet that could withhold pizza in the face of that look." Lee said, taking a new slice of pizza and devouring it unselfconsciously.

Even the kitchen went quiet as people ate. Lee passed slices to Lincoln from the box on her lap and matched him slice for slice. She might be small but she ran marathons and she could put away as much as anyone when she was in the mood. And she was absolutely in the mood tonight.

Eventually the box was empty and Lee sighed happily, licking the grease off her fingers. "That was amazing." She said, eyes lidded. "I'm going to fall into a food coma and sleep for a week but it was absolutely worth it."

"I know. I think we might have to put a pin in tonight. I don't have the brain for this." Lee said and leaned further in to his chest so that his head rolled deeper into the hollow of her throat and shoulder. He was drawing lazy patterns, rhythmic movements on the skin of her side and maybe another time she would have examined how intimate the touch was, but tonight she just couldn't give a crap, too comfortable and cosy to care. Her fingers found their way to the hair at the base of his head and started scratching there gently.

They must have stayed like that for a while because the next thing she knew there were murmurs of goodbye and she looked around to see the others gathering their things and waving their own sleepy goodbyes. Tonight had been ambitious after the weeks they'd all had. She waved back and then looked at Lincoln, smiling and pressing her lips to his hair.

"Hey Linc...the guys are leaving."

The groaning and the lips on her neck made Lee close her eyes and lick her lips, breathing out a contented sigh of her own. The way Lincolns hand moved up her side made Lee arch a little, curving her hip into it and pressing her free hand over his so it splayed out over her hip and waist. She slotted her fingers between his and just enjoyed the feeling of him all around her.

He murmured to her in that low voice, words vibrating against her skin and it took a minute for her to find her own voice to answer him. "Are you going to be able to last long enough to have a conversation on the couch?" She asked quietly. "Because I can't drag you to bed if you fall asleep there."

The rough stubble against her neck made Lee gasp and that turned into a laugh as Lincoln manhandled her across to the couch. She had no intention of resisting him, following his lead until she was cocooned by his body, wrapped up in him.

"Deal." She said when he'd finished moving. She shuffled around and pulled his arm around her waist. A thought struck her and she craned to look at him. "Can I borrow a shirt? I think I actually forgot something to sleep in."

The thought of dragging him to his bed made her laugh. "You'd be asleep. You'd see nothing. I could bring in friends to move you just so you wouldn't know how I did it." She teased and reached up to scratch through his hair. He loved that and she knew it. Years of friendship and the slow growth of this odd intimacy they shared meant she knew what made him tick. And he knew her too.

"I'm comfy though. I'll grab the shirt later, thanks." Lee said, making a contented noise and closed her eyes. She wasn't going to sleep but she was enjoying this mutual physicality. Lee didn't date much. The last few times she'd tried it had ended badly. They could never understand the way she was with her computers, the way she devoted herself to a new game or to playing with her friends online or in person. She tried but she couldn't stop being who she was for the sake of someone else. Lincoln understood that and that's why she loved spending time with him.

"You're a neat freak." Lee said, smiling fondly and shifting with him as he rearranged himself. "It's one of the things I love about you. Makes me seem less of a weirdo. When I want to order my action figures by serial number."

The groan that escaped her when he rubbed his stubble into her neck wasn't quite obscene, but it was close. Of course the hand under her top wasn't helping, but the little flare of arousal was a distant thing. It was Lincoln. It wasn't hard to be aroused around him. Clearing her throat, she nodded, rubbing her cheek against his temple. "Do we have to move to get the movie? Because I set up the entertainment server last time I was here. I gave you a tablet to control it all and everything...Don't tell me you broke it already?"

"I concede that ordering by series makes a little more se-..." She paused to bite of another groan as he nuzzled her again. "More sense." Lee finished on a sigh.

Her body was betraying her a little, more when she rolled to her back and he was hovering over her. She arched up under him a fraction before she caught the movement and relaxed back. He smiled down at her and she crooked one back at him while he settled next to her again.

"There's never an alternative when Galaxy Quest is on the table." She murmured, lifting the tablet she thumbed through the options absently until she found the movie and set it playing.

Lifting her legs, she hooked them over his thighs, levering them so he was curled closer around her. His voice against her ear was a purr of noise that made Lee feel warm all over. His hand was a warm weight on her belly and made the muscles jump as she covered it with her own.

"We watched this together like three months ago, you know." She said, stroking his arm idly. "Is that ages?"

"Fair point." She said and like the total dork she was, Lee made the salute from the movie.

She didn't even need to watch it. She knew every line. It was their go to movie when they were both exhausted and not up for concentrating, just letting it wash over them, the familiarity comforting.

Of course, now that she wasn't paying attention to the film, Lees mind was wandering. Lincoln was nuzzling closer, practically kissing her ear, his thigh between hers making her wonder idly what it'd be like to sleep like this with someone like this every night. That train of thought made her frown a little as she tried to fix an image of a man she'd like to do this with every night and her brain kept coming back to Lincoln.

The thought trailed off as he scratched his chin against the curve of her throat and made her huff a sleepy laugh. "You need a shave."

As he leaned over to look at her, Lincolns knee shifted higher, a firm, warm pressure between her thighs that made her hips roll with the movement to accommodate him. She didn't feel trapped though, and she wasn't about to pull away at all, even if she thought maybe she should. Instead she stretched languidly into the couch, letting his weight anchor her.

Lee rolled her eyes at the look on his face. Even tired as he was, he still managed a pretty effective set of puppy dog eyes. She reached up and ran her fingers over his cheek lightly. "I like it a lot. I'm just concerned you're going to start a fire if you accidentally catch it on my shirt or something." She teased, smiling at him. "And that'd look bad, you being a fireman and everything."

Lee thought she'd imagined it, she really had, but they were pressed so tight together now that she couldn't miss the fact that something other than his legs was pressing against her butt. Lee panicked for a second. As much as she might not be experienced in the sex department, she had access to the internet and she wasn't an idiot. This was straight out of some YA novel or something on the CW. If she was in one of those books or shows, she'd know how to say something appropriate, maybe make light of it and excuse herself from the situation. Did she even want to do that? It wasn't that she didn't find him attractive. Blind, deaf and dumb people found Lincoln attractive. It wasn't even like the thought of having sex with him hadn't crossed her mind, but it'd been an idle 'what if', not really something she'd seriously given a lot of thought. Now suddenly she was giving it serious thought. Suddenly she could see the way they fit together, physically and personally. Vivid images of them doing something other than lounging on this couch started presenting themselves and she swallowed hard, trying to stay as still as she could so that she could clear her mind.

She opened her mouth to say something, anything that would break this train of thought, when she caught the shaky breath he pulled in followed by the yawn and the lazy sweet kiss against her palm and yet another yawn. Relief flooded her. Train of thought thoroughly derailed, so much so that she felt bad for thinking those things in the first place. He was tired...really bone weary and not really thinking straight. The t-shirt comment just proved it. He didn't really want to have sex with her. She was just a warm body and his body was reacting without conscious thought. She was tired too, for that matter. That was why she was thinking these sexy thought about her best friend. It was silly really.

Somewhere deep inside a little part of her wailed in despair but Lee ignored it and smiled at him instead. "Smooth, Lincoln. Did you get that line from Roosevelt?" She asked him quietly, half expecting to get nothing but a snore from him in return.

"That's nothing new, Linc..." She said, trailing off when his knee between her thighs shifted again. She tried to say his name but it was turned into a laughing gasp as he pulled back again, burying his face in her neck. His voice had gone husky with sleep, vibrating low and against her skin. He was warm and all around her and she just wanted to give in, just fall onto her front and have him lay over her and sleep like that.

As much as she liked that idea, she had a class tomorrow morning for her degree and if she didn't get some kind of sleep she'd never take in anything. "We watch films together all the time." She said, yawning and blinking her eyes open trying to muster the energy to move.

"Mmmm..." Lee mumbled, eyes falling closed again as his breathing started to even out and hers started to sync up with it. "S'nice. Really nice. But...bed. Should get to one." She opened her eyes again when he nuzzled against her. If she was honest, she'd love to just stay here. Common sense was a total bitch sometimes.

"Linc?" she asked quietly. If he was asleep she'd make the herculean effort and slide off the couch and head to his room to grab a shirt. She would not look at his bed because it would be closer than the guest room and she'd never make it. The plan was a good one. She turned her head to look at him and tried again. "Linc?"

It took Lee another thirty minutes to gather the strength to slip out of Lincolns grip. He was warm and his weight against her was comforting in a way she hadn't realised she'd wanted so it was an actual effort to gently lift his hand off her stomach and roll away. It wasn't elegant but she managed to slide to the floor and then sat up, watching to see if she'd woken him. He snuffled a little, brow creasing for a second before it smoothed out.

Standing, Lee couldn't resist reaching out to smooth a hand through his hair, brushing it out of his eyes before she grabbed the soft, familiar blanket and spread it over his sleeping form.

Lee walked on shuffling feet to Lincolns room, yawning as she hunted for a t-shirt to change into. She gave herself a pat on the back for making it to the guest room and just barely had time to change before she collapsed into the bed, dead asleep before her head hit the pillow.
