Walking down the small aisles of the bookstore, Lincoln squeezed between shelves as he hummed along to to the music playing through his earbuds. Picking up a copy of Attachments, he tucked it under his arms as he rolled his hips and shimmied along the aisle looking for another book to add to his growing pile.
Singing into the book, he shuffled a little as he picked up the Will of the Empress and a couple of fantasy novels he thought Lee might like. Spinning in place, he turned to see the very wide eyes of Mrs Murphy who lived upstairs and always got him to help her upstairs with her groceries.
"Morning Mrs Murphy, lovely day." Lincoln began, cheeks turning a little red as he realised that he had been dancing in the aisles Again. Making a face at her, he got out her way as he grabbed a copy of Lee's favourite author's new book. Looking up sheepishly, Lincoln just nodded at the other customers (and owner) in the store and wanted to find a gigantic hole for himself to crawl into. "Great. This was a great idea. Should not have left the house."

She was going to sneak up on him and surprise him when Lincoln started dancing to whatever tune he was listening to. Lee couldn't resist ducking behind a bookcase to watch him as he jigged his way around the shop. Mrs Murphy caught him and it was all Lee could do to keep from bursting into applause as he passed her hiding place, flushed red and mumbling to himself.
Lee waited until he rounded the corner and then stepped out, clapping enthusiastically. "That was awesome. We are going dancing at some point because I need to learn that whole thing."

Lincoln held up his book offerings to Lee in one hand while he looked down at her suspiciously. He hoped she hadn't recorded it. Oh god, she probably had and was going to show the guys.

Holding up a finger, Lee took the earbuds from his hand and plugged them into her ears, breaking into a little goofy dance of her own. She grinned at him and then gave him back his buds. "I don't think you have anything to worry about with my interpretation of 'dancing'." She said.
The books he held out caught her attention and she made grabby hands at them, taking the pile. "Are these for me?" She said, looking up at him hopefully. He had the best taste and there was some awesome stuff in that pile so it could have been for himself.

"I like you interpretation of dancing," Lincoln said, the smile lingering on his lips as he slightly, accidentally, smouldered down at Lee. Offering her the books, he lifted his shoulders in a shrug. "I needed a few more for the apartment, thought I'd get you a couple of copies of my favourites."

Lee hugged the books to her chest and grinned. "You're the actual best." And then she looked up at him and noticed the hot look on his face. Lee swallowed and her own smile faded into something more sober, and she licked her lips. Dropping the books to her side, Lee stepped in close about to lean up to kiss him when a cough interrupted her. Mrs Murphy was scowling at the pair of them and Lee gave her a sunny smile, tucking her hair behind her ear.
She turned back to Lincoln and chuckled. "Maybe we should pay for these." She said, lifting the books again and then remembering shy she'd come here in the first place. "Oh crap. I have to find a book for Quentin." She rolled her eyes. "And I have to do lesson plans." She groaned, letting her head fall forward and thump into his chest.
no subject
"Yeah, here let me take those." Lincoln said, lifting the books from Lee's arms and freeing her up to grab what she wanted. Lifting his arms up so Lee's head bumped his chest, Lincoln dropped his warm arms around her and dropped his head down to brush a kiss against the top of hers. "Why don't you come round to mine? You can work and I'll cook us some lunch."

Not spending the morning with Lincoln seemed like a hugely dumb idea now that he said it like that. Still, she still needed to make one thing clear. Lee pushed her head into the kiss gently and then looked up at him. "You realise I have to work, right? No distracting me with epic dance parties or anything." She chided. Pushing herself away, Lee went to the technical section and picked up a couple of basic primers and the more advanced book she'd been looking for and added them to Lincolns pile.
"Okay. We should go if we're going." She blew out a breath. "So many lesson plans. This being a teacher thing is a lot more work than studying to be one."

Lincoln took the books over to the counter to pay before paying for them all. Reaching out to snag his arm over Lee's shoulder, he smiled a dorky smile at her before taking the heavy bag of books with ease.
"So, after your work things do you want to play a couple of board games or something?"
no subject
Lincoln went from kissing her softly to running to the payment desk in about five seconds and Lee didn't have time to blink. He'd paid before she could even get her wallet out of her bag so she sighed and followed him out of the shop.
When he mentioned games, Lee nodded enthusiastically and leaned into his body, hooking her arm around his waist as they walked. "Only if we can play at Takenoko. That game is a pain in the ass but I will master it." She said, determination in her voice. "And I'm giving you money for the books when we get back to your place."

Bending down to brush a kiss against her temple, Lincoln looked entirely innocent as he carried their bag of books. Pressing a peck to the bridge of her nose, Lincoln pressed a kiss at the tip before pressing another to her mouth. Light and sweet.
"I know not of this money you speak of," Lincoln replied, smiling as he walked with Lee. "Fine we can play your panda game, thought you'd want to try a couple of the new ones I've got. Or a sneaky game of Pandemic. Mmm infectious disease."

"Currency is often exchanged for goods and services." Lee paraphrased from the Simpsons. "And you need to have some of my currency in your wallet. School can pay for the school books. The others...we can negotiate on. " She said with a sly smile. It wasn't that she minded gifts at all, she just didn't want to take advantage of his sweet and generous nature." Pandemic sounds good though. Always with the infection vectors. I've been watching play throughs on YouTube and I think I know where we're going wrong." Lee added, pressing her temple against his shoulder and closing her eyes for a few steps, just breathing him in. It was sappy, she knew, but she didn't think he'd mind.

Lincoln followed Lee up the stairs to his floor. Humming under his breath happily, he waited for Lee to go through before sighing happily and dumping the books on the table.
"You mean the part when we blatantly cheat or the part where we really blatantly cheat."
no subject
The kiss was sweet and Lee beamed like an idiot as he went ahead of her to open the door. "Well I don't know. Negotiations could cover many things. The removal of clothing could be one of them." Lee said, slipping past him into the apartment.
She walked over to the table and pulled out her laptop, setting up for some work. If she set up with a view of Linc in the kitchen then she couldn't be blamed. Lincoln was happy cooking in the kitchen and she loved watching him happy.
Lee smiled at the cheating comment. "Look, we can't be blamed if the game doesn't account for unethical but ultimately fruitful human experiments." She said, logging into her home server to pull up the lesson plans she'd been working on. "There has to be wiggle-room, Linc."
no subject
Smiling at the comment, he gave her a little 'watching you' gesture as he began to fry up a decent brunch. All the breakfast things but at a lunch time was the perfect way to spend the afternoon with his girl.
"And this is why you're always the traitor in every game we play. Chaotic Good." Lincoln replied, pointing at her with a knowing look. "Lawful good says wiggle-room is for very bad rogues and people who cause the blue cube zombie outbreak."
no subject
Lee tapped her pen against her teeth to consider the suggestion. "I'm open to the possibilities. Are we adding a note that says that all removal of clothing should be accompanied by some kind of sexy dance?" She asked as she added a title to the reading list for the seniors.
The smells coming from the kitchen were almost as good as watching him wiggle his butt all over the kitchen. He thought he didn't have moves but Lee could watch him dance all day, twirling his utensils around and tapping out rhythms on the pans.
"I was Merlin three times the last time we played Avalon! Good guy all the way through!" Lee protested, pushing her glasses up her nose.

“Well, uh-“ Lincoln began, his traitorous brain possibly letting him down by going over and over the idea of Lee wiggling her hips and butt in some kind of sexy, clothes removing kind of dance. “Maybe. But what happens if I’m the one who likes to remove your clothes, do you do the dance or do I do the dance in that situation?”
Lincoln continued to tap and hum around the kitchen, coming over with a coffee to keep Lee going as she worked.
“That’s exactly what a traitor would say,” Lincoln replied, leaning over to brush a kiss down Lee’s nose then to her mouth where he could quiet any protest with a sweet, lingering kiss. Smiling, a small slightly crooked smile, Lincoln turned his head to nuzzle her neck before peppering a few light, totally not distracting kisses against her neck before turning his attention back to brunch.
no subject
Lee grinned as she thought about that. The idea of him stripping her while she was dancing was all kinds of silly. "I think one of us would get hurt so maybe no dancing in that situation."
Blinking in the aftermath of the kisses Lee watched him go back to the kitchen. God, she loved the way he kissed her. She gathered herself, licked her lips and cleared her throat, tapping away at her laptop just to stop herself getting up and pressing him back against the counter to kiss the hell out of him. "I see how it is. You think you can win any argument with kisses." She noticed the coffee for the first time. "And this! This was clearly part of a highly sophisticated distraction technique. Well I am totally not distracted. Nope. Or a traitor."
no subject
“Yeah, your elbows are pretty sharp.” Lincoln grinned in cheeky response. She’d elbowed him once while they slept, Lincoln was wary of her elbows ever since. Unless she wanted him to kiss them or any other part of her and then he was all over that. He loved kissing Lee and was continuing to want to make up for any and all of their lack in kissing from their years of friendship.
Lincoln grabbed the hot pan, barely noticing the heat as he shifted the pans around to accommodate for the sweet rolls he wanted to stick into the oven for later. He liked having extra snacks around when Lee was there, he kinda needed the calories when he was working out in all the ways they worked out together.
“Can I win any argument with kisses?” Lincoln asked, because that would be very effective. What film should they want? Kisses. Who gets to be the blue player? Kisses. Who was the better Captain? Kisses. “I like anticipating your every need, now stop thinking about kissing me up against the counter which you totally are doing and get to work.”
Lincoln flushed a little, smiling at Lee easily as he kicked off his shoes and socks and continued to dance around the kitchen- like a total dork- in his bare feet. Pulling off his sweater, Lincoln’s stomach was revealed briefly before he pulled his shirt back down.

Lee always winced when Lincoln handled hot pans and dishes with bare hands. She couldn't help it even though she knew it didn't hurt him. They hadn't really talked much about his magic since she'd found out but then they didn't need to. It was just part of who he was and he would open up about it when he was ready. She and Linc had been friends for long enough for her to know not to push him on stuff like that, even if she was curious.
She grinned at the question. "You might be able to. It really depends on the argument. There are some things I just won't give up." She said, flicking between servers to get to the school database and upload some data from the last tests she'd marked. "Like I will not give up Castle Waterdeep for anything. Even Linc kisses."
The rebuttal of his assertion that she'd been thinking pervy thoughts died on her lips, especially as she looked up just in time to see him stripping out of his sweater. "You..." She managed and then gave up pretending and stood up quickly, crossing to the kitchen and tugging him round for a long kiss. When they broke apart, she smiled, blush colouring her cheeks. "That was totally your fault."

Lincoln managed to drop his sweater down on the counter, safely out of the way, before his arms were filled with a very fast moving Lee. Being tugged down was pretty easy when your girlfriend was pretty rogueish and just plain pretty.
Lincoln brushed a strand of Lee's beautiful red hair back behind her ear and leaned down to kiss her slowly. He loved kissing her, could fall in love with her over and over just in one kiss. But he never wanted just one. Not when his fingertips brushed her cheek and his arms came around her to hold her close to his much warmer body. And definitely not when she flushed like that.
"I entirely take the blame. Beautiful," Lincoln said with a dorky smile as he ducked down to capture her lips again. Kissing her sweet mouth was a heady experience, making him move them subtly back to the counter to pin her up against it. "Not... even... these... kisses?"
no subject
Groaning, Lee looped her arms loosely around Lincolns neck as he pushed her back against the counter. She kissed him again, pressing close. She could do this all day...would, too, if he let her. Lee still couldn't believe they'd waited so long to do this. Now they were making up for lost time and that was perfectly fine with her.
"Those kisses...are cheating." She murmured, standing on her tiptoes to get better purchase and nip at his lower lip. "Don't stop, but still, cheating."
no subject
"Are they? Well, you know how I hate cheating." Lincoln replied in a low voice, almost a growl as his hands slid over Lee's ass and lifted her up into his arms. She felt good there, light and safe and very tempting. It was easy to carry her... back to her seat where he placed her down carefully. "I won't stop... later. You have work to do, love you."
Lincoln brushed another kiss against her mouth as he headed back to finish cooking for them both. Serving up lunch, he took them both over a plate before sitting down with her.
no subject
Lee laughed when he picked her up, wrapping her legs around him and then pouted when he put her back in her seat. She whined but kissed him again and nodded. "Go. Cook for me, kitchen monkey." She said and started tapping away again.
The lesson plans were almost done when he brought over food and Lee took off her glasses and rubbed at the bridge of her nose. "Why did I want to be a teacher again?"
no subject
Pushing his legs out, Lincoln brushed his knee against Lee's and reached out to run a warm hand down her back. Rubbing her back gently, he tried to ease the tension out of her shoulders as he looked at the pinch in her face with concern.
"Because you love educating kids, showing them your jedi ways and because you're awesome." Lincoln replied, reaching out to touch Lee's chin before tilting it up so he could brush a kiss against her mouth. "If it helps, I can make all the hard work worth it later if you want?"
no subject
The kiss and the warm hand down her back was lovely and Lee felt herself start to relax. "You're the Jedi. You can actually do magic. I just make code do flashy things. And really, how interesting are the kids going to find that after a while?" She didn't normally doubt herself but this was a big turning point in her life. Being a student was easy, being a teacher? Not so much. But his suggestion made her smile. "How much later is later? Because I'm done. Done done done."
