Samantha pressed her lips together, but she was working on that. Just in
case her efforts were in vain, she didn't want to get anyone's hopes up.
"I'm just glad I hit the mark for his present. I didn't even know his
birthday was coming up until I met his girlfriend at the beach party and
she told me. Gave me a few bad moments because it was something I should
have known. And now that I know he'll probably like it, I've completely
avoided disaster."
She gave another relieved exhale and toasted Lincoln with her glass.
"That's a sweet thought, but I really don't have any room in my loft. But
maybe something for the shop," she said, finger to her chin in thought.
"That would be lovely."
