He kissed her and she was endlessly glad that he couldn’t see the crimson of her blush in the dark of the bedroom. The idea that he might actually do that in earnest hadn’t ever really occurred to her but there she was, in his bed with him, his intense bodyheat lulling her to sleep.

She smiled and turned back to nuzzle into the meat of his arm, kissing the soft skin there. “You shouldn’t give me permission like that, Lincoln.” She hummed against his skin. “Who knows what I’d do with it.”
