"Yeah, just don't tell him that. He'll never let me live it down." Lincoln nodded at her assessment of their friendship. He and Roosevelt really were completely opposite in terms of personality. But Lincoln knew, deep down despite all the cockiness that Roosevelt was a good guy. The best kind of guy and the pair would do anything for each other. "You're right, we really are but thanks, I appreciate that."

Lincoln made sure to pull Samantha's chair out for her before taking a seat opposite her. When he watched her fuss with the menu, he reached out and took her hand and smiled up at her as he glanced over the menu.

"The detective? I've met him once or twice through work," Lincoln murmured, threading his fingers through hers as he smiled up at her. "Well, their loss is my gain. I think. But I'm glad, you found something you love doing and that gives you time to do other things."

Lincoln ducked his head a little as he looked over the menu. He didn't bother trying to keep his legs out of her space this time though. His legs brushed against hers, knees pressing lightly against hers and he didn't move it away. Just smiled up at her.
